One question we often get is whether or not there are any hazardous substances in our cases. The short answer is “no”.

The Restriction on Hazardous Substances (or RoHS) specifically bans or restricts the use of lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls (PBB) and polybrominated biphenyl ethers (PBDE). It went into effect in 2006 and since then PELI cases have not contained the banned or restricted materials. They are 100% RoHS compliant.

In Europe, there have been restrictions of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment since 2003. Our lights are fully compliant with these restrictions and we make an effort to encourage the proper recycling efforts for these products as well.

No HazMats here!
